The guild I ran in TBC was trying to step up to 25mans and were wiping in Gruuls Lair on the big guy himself. Our best ever attempt before drama struck and the guild disbanded was 3% which would have been a kill only on 10% when the tank had dropped dangerously low one of my officers shouted DI the tank on vent and a holy paladin not knowing any better complied. Tank loses aggro – all the melee die and theres 1 less healer. The officer was actually referring to LoH because of the improved bonus holy has. Needless to say I never let him forget it.
And I think Blizzard just has a dude with a thesaurus just randomly slotting words together when it comes to paladins.

After a chat about the likely uses for DI in current raids (“pretty much none” was the general opinion) I’ve removed the binding from Vuhdo to prevent future embarrassment.

DI is great. I use it all the time if it looks like a wipe. Seriously reduced my repair bills 😉
I’ve relegated it to a forgotten corner of my UI now (why did I bind it in Vuhdo? Why??)
Amusingly, we used it (our holy pally used it) last night when we were trying to do the ICC quest, the name of which I forget, where you have to kill Rotgut and Festerface within 30mins of each other without dying. We didn’t quite manage it but it was amusing to see it used legitimately, even if it did revive all the DI jokes.
Actually, who am I kidding. The DI jokes weren’t dead 🙂
